I recently had the pleasure of photographing a stunning Horse and Rider session, coupled with some Fine Art portraits, with Tracy and her superb mare, Super Stella Cat—affectionately known as Stella. The session took place at the picturesque Dragon Edge in Georgetown, a location that perfectly complemented the elegance and grace of both horse and rider.

When Tracy first reached out to me, she mentioned that she was a bit camera shy. It’s not uncommon for clients to feel this way, but with a bit of patience and trust, magic often happens. And that’s exactly what unfolded during our session. Tracy gradually relaxed, and by the time we were in full swing, she was radiating confidence and joy—a transformation that truly warmed my heart. The connection between Tracy and Stella was palpable, and it made for some incredible moments that I was thrilled to capture.
Now, let’s talk about Stella. This mare is nothing short of extraordinary. With her striking blue eyes and serene demeanor, she exudes a calmness that is rare and beautiful. Nothing seemed to phase her, whether it was the camera clicking away or the subtle adjustments I made to capture the perfect shot. Stella’s poise was truly remarkable, and it’s no surprise that she shines in the dressage arena. Under the guidance of her trainer, she competes at Level 2, demonstrating her skill and elegance in every stride.
The blend of Horse and Rider shots, paired with Fine Art portraits, allowed me to capture both the dynamic partnership between Tracy and Stella as well as the timeless beauty of this magnificent mare. Each image tells a story of trust, connection, and the unique bond they share. I’m absolutely obsessed with the results, and I can’t wait to share these images with Tracy and the world.
This session was a reminder of why I love what I do. The opportunity to connect with clients like Tracy, who may start off a little hesitant but eventually embrace the experience, is incredibly rewarding. And when you pair that with a horse as spectacular as Stella, it’s a recipe for something truly special.
Thank you, Tracy and Stella, for trusting me to capture these moments. It was an honor to work with you
both at Dragon Edge, and I’m already looking forward to our next session!
